Note from Librarians for Fairness: This is our brief answer to the egregious comments of one particular member (Bekezela) of Librarians and Archivists to Palestine:
.
At a dinner in Cambridge, MA, shortly before he was assassinated, Dr. King said: “When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews, you are talking anti-Semitism.” [See, e.g., “The Socialism of Fools: The Left, the Jews and Israel” by Seymour Martin Lipset; Encounter magazine, December 1969, p. 24.]

And his March 25, 1968 speech to the Rabbinical Assembly, in New York City, Dr. King said: “Peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. I see Israel as one of the great outposts of democracy in the world, and a marvelous example of what can be done, how desert land can be transformed into an oasis of brotherhood and democracy. Peace for Israel means security and that security must be a reality.”

By the way, Bekezela, are you aware that the 2013 Miss Israel is Yityish Aynaw, who is Black? She is from the Beta Israel...the 120,000 strong (and growing) Ethiopian-Jewish population, in Israel. And the 1999 Miss Israel was an Israeli Arab. Bekezela, (yes, we will refer to you by your first name...after all, you are a librarian-colleague) your lack of knowledge about Israel and the true feelings of Israel's enemies, astounds and saddens us.
