Librarians for Fairness calls on the ALA Council to reject a proposed resolution calling for divestment from three companies that do business with Israel. We fully agree with the statement on this vital matter of the Association of Jewish Libraries, as expressed by Dr.Yaffa Weissman, the AJL president. We note that at least some of those who have been trying to get this bigoted resolution on the ALA Council's agenda, do not even believe that Israel has a right to exist! We note too, that the objective of the BDS movement, which this hateful resolution supports, is the annhilation of the State of Israel.
